We popped up to Malton to visit our new solicitors and accountants, as we are that stage where things are starting to feel very real.Β  A visit to Malton is always worthwhile – its a proper little market town with the complete range of shops you’d expect to find anywhere.Β  The added bonus of most of the shops being that they are independent and locally owned – especially around the central Market Place.Β  There are so many good cafes, bars and deli’s in Malton – which has led to it marketing itself as the “Food Capital of Yorkshire”.Β  At the end of May every year there is a food festival and most months there is a farmer’s market in the Market Place.Β  Keeping the culinary theme going, Malton hosts a gastronomic 10km run – the “Marthon Du Malton” – there you get to sample local food and drink on your “run”.Β  For more information about Malton visit – https://www.visitmalton.com/

We stopped for lunch and a pint at The New Malton, where we shared a fish platter and some chips,Β  all of which was cooked to perfection, we’d recommend a visit.
