We are pleased to be able to be open for Christmas and New Year for the 2024 festive season – our fifth Christmas with guests.   What better way to start Christmas Day than with a dip in our indoor heated pool or stroll from our cottages up on to the edge of the North York Moors National Park.

Spend four nights away with family and friends on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Tire the kids out on Christmas Eve with a walk in Dalby Forest followed by time in our very own swimming pool. Get up on Christmas Day and head to our pool for a Christmas Day Dip, before tucking in to lunch and then walking up to King Alfred’s Cave in our local woods with views across the Vale of Pickering to blow the cob webs away.
 
On Boxing Day head in to nearby Scarborough for the traditional Fishermen versus Firemen Charity football match on the beach followed by watching the raft race around the harbour. And of course follow it up with chips and then ice cream as you walk along the prom.
 
Challenge your relatives to a game of pool or table tennis in our games room and then celebrate (or commiserate) in our local dog friendly pub, that is just three minutes walk away.
 

This Christmas we are offering a 4 night break starting on the Monday, so you can come early and get settled or arrive closer to Christmas knowing that the place is ready for your arrival. For New Year we are offering a 3 night long weekends also starting on the Monday.  If you fancy something longer, don’t hesitate to get in touch, as we can always come up with something to fit your Christmas and New Year Holiday needs. Bookings for Christmas and New Year will close on the 1st of December 2024.

For those wanting a pre-Christmas get away we are also offering special rates on long weekends starting on the 13th of December.

As a small family run business our aim is to offer modern, friendly self catering holiday accommodation in our range of 5 self catering holiday cottages.  Set within 2 acres of gardens, with one pub just 3 minutes away by foot and 2 others just 5 minutes drive away, plenty of country walks and an indoor heated swimming pool there is lots to do without the need to go far.

Please book in plenty of time to avoid any disappointment. Prices per week include:- use of all leisure facilities, central heating, all electricity, provision of bed linen & towels. Free hire of cots & high chairs upon request.  If you have any questions, please get in touch.

The Coach House and Orchard House were comfortable, clean and well-equipped and the Christmas decorations and welcome pack were perfect. Jacqueline and Alastair were extremely accommodating around hosting all 10 of us in two cottages and even brought in a spare dining table so we could all eat Christmas dinner in one house. Being able to have our doggos with us made our stay even better!“
