THE COACH HOUSE

THE COACH HOUSE

As its name suggests, The Coach House was once the coach house and stables to the Grade II listed Cliff House. It’s lounge still sports a large window (the old doors) that have a view straight down Back Lane in the village of Ebberston.

The Coach House, is family friendly and dog friendly and can sleep 5 in three bedrooms, a double with exposed beams, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom.  Ideal for a family of four and a grandparent. We also allow 2 well behaved dogs.  There is a mid-level family shower room and WC and on the upper floor there is an additional separate WC. On the ground floor there is a kitchen diner that is open on to the lounge with an open fire (first basket of logs included) and a TV/DVD player. For those that need their coffee we have a Nespresso machine 😉  On the walls of the lounge are prints of local seaside scenes created by the artist Ian Mitchell. Outside there is a gated enclosed enclosed yard space with a bench and bike rack – perfect for your canine companion!

Throughout the cottage are cushions and throws made using cloth and material that’s made in in Yorkshire.

All guests have use of our wifi, indoor heated swimming pool, as well as our 2 acres of gardens complete with lavender lined path to our Orangery and our new outdoor play equipment – not forgetting our games room, with table tennis, pool and an array of books and games to borrow.  New for 2023 guests have access to our newly installed electric vehicle charging points.

Full gas central heating is included. The Coach House has off road parking for one car.

WALKING AND CYCLING

We were able to go walking and cycling from the property, the landscaped gardens and indoor heated swimming pool. The peace and quiet of the location was the reason for choosing this location. – ROSEMARY

A GREAT PLACE!

What a great place. Really welcoming hosts, gardens were amazing, would love to be there in the summer to appreciate them more but we made use of the play area and fire pit near the pond. Swimming pool was the biggest hit, it was ideal having a rota and having it to ourselves – LYNN

SWIMMING POOL

The children took real advantage of the swimming pool using it morning, noon and night. Ebberston is ideally situated for the coast or dales and there are some lovely foodie towns nearby. The owners Jacqueline and Alastair were very helpful and discreet, and it was comforting to know we could call them if we had any problems. – ROBIN

OUR COTTAGES

Being near the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough, as well as the market towns of Pickering and Malton, we are well sited for visiting the best that the Yorkshire Coast and Countryside has to offer. We are also very handy for such attractions as Flamingoland near Pickering and the Alpamare waterpark in Scarborough. For more information on what to see and do, please visit our “What’s On” page.

York isn’t very far away, you can either drive or park up and take advantage of the hourly train service from Malton.

A perfect day trip is to be had on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which can coupled with some time in the market town of Pickering.  To the east there is the beautiful Yorkshire Coast with the seaside towns of Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby all close at hand – all offer something to do throughout the year.  For the more active there are many cycling and mountain biking trails in Dalby Forest

A visit to Staithes
