covid-19, not cancelled, holiday, accommodation

Not the best of weeks to be taking over a business with Covid-19 landing on these shores.

We are still open, with our 2 acres of grounds and easy access to the North York Moors and Dalby Forest. However, with COVID-19 we are taking all reasonable precautions to ensure that our cottages continue to be clean and safe in light of the increased risk of infection. .

We do have a swimming pool, and we are thinking about how best we can manage that, but closing it when there is more than one property being occupied is probably the most realistic option.

It’s not all doom and gloom, so please come join us (at a safe and reasonable distance πŸ™‚ ). Enjoy the peace of our gardens and of the local countryside by having more #TimeForYou. For those cottages with fires, we provide complimentary logs to get you going, allowing you to snuggle up with a book and listen to your favourite tunes.

We have lots to do ourselves, even if there is going to be a bit of a quiet period – installing WiFi, adding a proper safe play park and starting to play around with ideas to refresh our cottages. All to make our beautiful new home more welcoming than ever when this is all behind us.

Plus making every effort to encourage everyone to cut out the middle man and #bookdirect for the best prices with us.

In the meantime, we are chatting with other local businesses as to what we can offer to keep the contact down, but still give you a great holiday experience. Watch this space – and thank you for your support.

Above all else, please don’t take any risks and look after yourselves – we will still be here when this is all over.
