Country Roads... ...Take me home, but not before Country Roads...

...Take me home, but not before we popped in to our local dog friendly pub @thegrapesinn, which happened to be on the way back.

We did a short walk up through Chafer Wood, and then across and down through Kirkdale (and the to the pub!)

The North York Moors National Park is a perfect de The North York Moors National Park is a perfect destination for nature lovers, especially during autumn when the moors transform into a breathtaking tapestry of reds, oranges, and golds. You'll find charming villages like Helmsley and Goathland, where the cosy tearooms serve up warm treats to keep you warm. There are endless opportunities for leaf crunching, conker collecting, and woodland wanders for those seeking adventure. And if you're lucky, you might spot some of the park's resident wildlife preparing for winter.

Thrill-seekers can still enjoy the North York Moors Railway, Eden Camp, and Flamingo Land Theme park. However, if you're looking for a quieter experience, the scenic railway journey through the heart of the moors is sure to soothe your soul. At Cliff House, you can enjoy 2 acres of grounds, a games room, and an indoor heated swimming pool. Toast marshmallows over our woodland fire under the stars, or relax in front of an open log fire in our larger cottages.

Come and savour this magical season with us in the North York Moors National Park.
