THE GRANARY
THE GRANARY
The Granary is a comfortable self-catering cottage that sleeps 4 plus a cot. Our dog friendly self catering cottage is converted from the stables and granary of the Grade II listed Cliff House. The redecorated and restyled Granary, with it’s open fire (first basket of logs included), is suitable for groups and families of four with a large double bedroom and a twin. Upstairs there is also a family bathroom. Downstairs there is a lounge with open fire and a TV and DVD player, a kitchen (which is open on to the lounge) with a separate dining room (complete with chandelier) and a downstairs loo.
All guests have use of our wifi, indoor heated swimming pool, as well as our 2 acres of gardens complete with its lavender lined path to our Orangery and our new outdoor play equipment – not forgetting our games room, with table tennis, pool and an array of books and games to borrow.
All heating and electricity is included. To get you started we provide a complimentary basket of logs. The Granary has off street parking directly outside the cottage for one car.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
Great place to stay, great location, great hosts. There is plenty of walking to do and places to explore by foot, plus plenty of moors to explore in the car. Close to Whitby for a car ride and far enough away to be really quiet and peaceful – PAUL

OUR COTTAGES
Being near the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough, as well as the market towns of Pickering and Malton, we are well sited for visiting the best that the Yorkshire Coast and Countryside has to offer. We are also very handy for such attractions as Flamingoland near Pickering and the Alpamare waterpark in Scarborough. For more information on what to see and do, please visit our “What’s On” page.
York isn’t very far away, you can either drive or park up and take advantage of the hourly train service from Malton.
A perfect day trip is to be had on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which can coupled with some time in the market town of Pickering. To the east there is the beautiful Yorkshire Coast with the seaside towns of Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby all close at hand – all offer something to do throughout the year. For the more active there are many cycling and mountain biking trails in Dalby Forest
